What is IVF?

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a type of assistive reproductive technology (ART). It involves retrieving eggs from a woman’s ovaries and fertilizing them with sperm. This fertilized egg is known as an embryo. The embryo can then be frozen for storage or transferred to a woman’s uterus.

Is it possible to get pregnant faster with IVF?

Our Fertility Center & AppliedGenetics can help intended parents get pregnant faster with IVF (in vitro fertilization). This highly effective fertility treatmentallows us to bypass many challenges that can occur during conception to achieve a healthy pregnancy faster.

Our team can also combine IVF withpreimplantation genetic testing (PGT) to increase a woman’s chance of conceiving and help ensure that her pregnancy is healthy

How does it work?

VF requires the intended mother to take medications for ovarian stimulation. During this time, she will come to our Fertility Center & AppliedGenetics for regular monitoring appointments. When her eggs are mature, her doctor will perform egg retrieval. Embryologists in the IVF lab will fertilize these eggs using sperm from her partner or a donor. The woman’s doctor will then transfer one healthy embryo to the woman’s uterus.

PGT is a highly effective method of testing an embryo’s chromosomes. After performing a very safe embryo biopsy, an embryologist will determine which embryos are chromosomally normal (euploid). The results of this test help ensure that our team only transfers embryos that give the patients the best chance of conceiving a healthy baby.

pregnant faster with IVF, this treatment is especially effective for patients in certain groups
